Wow, and this costume is pretty ugly to boot. Compare this to both of the original jackpot costumes. It’s like night and day. Also this might be a nitpick but Mary Jane is a recognizable public figure, it feels like she’d be better to have a mask that covers more of her face like Ultimate spider-woman or something.
Why does this go hard actually
this hit me at just the right junction of the bored and tired part of my day I’ve listened to it on repeat like 60 times. also it’s just a banger
Get reverse skinamarinked, idiot
I wish I could write this well

So the live-action Dumbo had the weird phenomenon where it was the hyped up movie of the summer and no one remembered it existed a year later? Like the Dick Tracy movie? (Yes, that movie happened. Warren Beatty was in it and everything.)
corhore answered:
I’m always fascinated of movies that were supposedly a big deal, but left zero foot print on culture and was forgotten.
Dick Tracy, The Lion King remake, most Marvel movies, Ghostbusters 2016, Avatar 1….Avatar 2,
I wouldn’t say Ghostbusters 2016 had zero cultural imprint. It’s cultural imprint just had nothing to do with the content of the movie. I mean we probably would have gotten just another lackluster Ghostbusters reboot instead of the more reverent Afterlife if not for the huge backlash behind Ghostbusters 2016. Same with Avatar, really, it’s cultural impact was more on the backend for filmmaking and digital effects than anything in it’s story.

Gotta say, Starkiller is every bit the overpowered Mary Sue that people accused Rey of being, yet he got a pass. Why is that? I have a feeling I already know the answer...
corhore answered:
Yeah…..well
This one is simple. It’s a video game. One of the only times a character can reasonably be a Mary or Gary Sue is when the character is literally a wish fulfillment stand-in for the audience and this stand-in typically only works when the audience has a more intimate level of control over the character like in the confines of a video game. If your goal isn’t necessarily to tell a story but rather make a fun experience for your player writing an unbalanced character plot-wise isn’t nearly as much of a sin. Even then Starkiller is still more balanced than Rey since he had years of training and has far more well-established character defects and a more consistent character arc. Further, they avoid breaking the power scaling by canonically killing him in the first game (and assumedly after the second game since he never shows up again) and then going even further by de-canonizing him entirely.
Tiktok marvel fans really will be out here like "movie fan SHOCKED because i'd rather watch superhero movie #54 in blue and not a sensual 1987 french horror film about a man discovering his wife may not exist set in what is gradually revealed to be a space station" as if you're supposed to agree that superhero movie #54 is the clear winner in this comparison
Love the idea of a story about a complex issue that's told from the perspective of something that cannot comprehend or care about the issue. The way the story would be sliced up and moments that a human would consider pointless would be focused on because the pigeon happened to be there would be hype as fuck
Not exactly the same, but you can always watch Cat’s Eye.
A chemist froze himself at -273.15 °C, everyone said he was crazy
He was 0K
I’ll be honest this one took me a second. XD
the "came back wrong" trope except like... they didnt. like this mad scientists wife died, and so he studied necromancy, brought her back, and she came back and it all worked. like she came back exactly the same as she was before with literally no difference. but the scientist guy is like "oh no... what have i done.... shes Different now!!!! she came back Wrong!!!!" and shes just like. chilling. reading a book. cooking dinner. shes just so so normal but in the guys mind hes like "oh shes soooo weird" but shes just normal

NO its a JOKE and YOU DONT GET IT. ITS NOT THAT DEEP
While she was dead he put his memory of her on such a high pedestal that she could never live up to it alive
alternatively‚ she came back perfectly fine but he thinks she came back wrong‚ because the tragic reality is that he never actually knew his wife
im going INSANE thats MY POST.
Or maybe he’s so talented with his art that he’s the only one who can actually see what’s wrong with her. Like to everyone else including her she looks normal but to him she’s cold to the touch, when she smiles there are maggets, there is no life in her eyes. He hears her voice but it’s hollow because there is no soul behind it. In every outward way she is his wife all except she isn’t.
Right because this approach has worked so well in the past. Just ask 343 Industries how that worked for Halo 4 and 5.
It doesn’t even make any sense based on how they describe it “I want somebody who’s hard on the material…” Who’s harder on the quality comics than comic fans?! XD
